Cancer, is it the biggest masses killer of our time?

There is no part of our bodies that cannot be attacked by cancer. It is a disease that takes many forms but it stems from the same problem. Basically it is the uncontrolled growth of cells. When we are young and growing cells normally divide and grow rapidly until adulthood. When we become adult’s cells only divide and separate to replace ones that have worn out, died or died from injury. Cancer cells are much like normal cells thus making them hard to identify. The difference is that they outlive normal cells and reproduce more rapidly. They then continue to produce more abnormal cells that compound the unhealthy growth.

Cancer can occur in any part of our bodies. Once it begins in one spot, it can travel through the blood stream throughout the body and begin to grow and replace normal tissue. This process, called metastasis, occurs as the cancer cells get into the bloodstream or lymph vessels of our body. When cells from this disease occur originally in a place like the breast and spreads to another organ like the liver, it is still called breast cancer, not liver cancer.

Cancer is a killer in many cases and requires medical treatment. People also will tell you that there are many healthy food supplements to ease the effects and symptoms. The fight against it has been going on for years and there are no clear answers to a cure. Many people seek alternative treatments today to assist them in recovery.
