Stress management program, designed to help patients suffering from stress-related disorders and anxiety
Registration is now open for Pascack Community Services’ latest round of stress management sessions, designed to help patients suffering from stress-related disorders and anxiety.
The 8-session program, initiated at Pascack Valley Hospital in 1985, teaches participants to recognize their patterns of physical and emotional over-reactions, while learning to handle daily stressful situations more calmly.
Presented within a small group setting, the program is especially helpful for people with medical disorders that are intensified by stress, such as hypertension, cardiac disorders, migraine and tension headaches, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, and TMJ, as well as uncomfortable levels of anxiety, and panic attacks.
