Schedule For Stress Management Educational Support Groups
Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services’ Northeast Clinic today announced its winter schedule for structured, educational support groups on stress management.
The groups will be led by Michael Hamm, ACSW, CSW, and will meet at the clinic, 1700 East Beltline, NE, in Grand Rapids.
The three-hour educational support group for individuals dealing with stress is held over the course.
During each session, Hamm will provide information on coping with the higher levels of stress and anxiety that exist due to world events, family, social, and work-related stressors. Participants will examine their own reactions to stress and develop personal and family strategies for coping with stress.
They will learn to identify individual symptoms, as well as specific stress management techniques, coping and survival skills, and guidance in talking with children about stress. Participants will also be able to network with others experiencing similar responses and receive validation for their concerns.
