Asian & Pacific Wellness Center Offers Free, Confidential, Anonymous HIV Testing throughout the Year

Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center offers free, confidential, anonymous HIV testing at its San Francisco office. Free HIV testing is conducted every Wednesday and by appointment on Saturdays.

Results of HIV tests are provided within one week, and A&PI Wellness Center provides counseling before HIV testing and after results are provided. Counseling is available in Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, Lao, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Burmese, Ilokano, Visayan and English. Interpretation services are available for other Asian and Pacific Islander languages.

A&PI Wellness Center also conducts free HIV testing at San Francisco LGBT Pride and community events held throughout the year. Starting in the summer, 2004, the agency will offer rapid testing to provide clients with the option of confirming their HIV status in less than one hour.
